Imphal, January 03 2022:
The BJP-led coalition government formed after the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in 2017 does not have any common minimum programme or gave coalition title while leaders and those in the government are self-styled leaders acting at their own sweet will and whims, alleged former Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC MLA S Subashchandra.
On Monday, Subashchandra inaugurated a community hall constructed near Kabrastan for Hiyangthang Tarahei and Palak.
The inauguration event at Hiyangthang Tarahei was followed by an election meeting for five polling stations of Hiyangthang area.
Addressing the gathering at the meeting, Subashchandra said that he was part of the coalition government formed after the 2017 assembly election as representative of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC.
The government then formed being coalition one should have common minimum programme and should have a name but no one cares and his suggestions to uproot corruption and drug menace were never given importance, he said, adding that those in the government acted at their own sweet will and whims.
As such practices continue, people of the state are now fully aware of infighting within the government, he said, adding that he was compelled to resign from being an elected MLA due to these reasons.
