Imphal, January 03 2022:
An awareness programme on CM Health for All Scheme cum launch function was organised by National Health Mission at Kongbrailatpam Mandap in Sagolband Tera Amudon Akham Leikai on Monday.
Speaking as chief guest of the programme, Sagolband AC MLA RK Imo pointed out that the government has launched various schemes for the betterment of health of the people, one of which is the CM Health for All scheme launched in October last year.
As the people in the state do not have the habit of undergoing regular health check-ups until they get sick, the scheme will be highly beneficial since it will provide door-to-door services to the people.
Highlighting the benefits of CMHT and Ayushman Bharat scheme, the MLA said that benefits of the long-term CM Health for All scheme will soon become visible in the next 1-2 years and as such, urged all to avail benefit of the scheme.
Other states are in the process of incorporating similar schemes, he conveyed, while stressing that it is the responsibility of each one of us to ensure the success of the scheme.
Imo then urged other political parties to stop belittling the different schemes as one of their tactics at the time of election and instead appreciate the schemes launched by the government.
"As the CM Health for All scheme has been launched in Sagolband AC on Monday, dedicated ASHA workers and department staff will be visiting every household in 4 IMC wards of the constituency to provide necessary medical services.
However, if the scheme is not effectively implemented, it will be of no benefit to the people.
In this regard, the help of the councillors is much required," he added.
Presided over by CMHA joint director Dr S Sucheta, the programme was attended by CMHA state nodal officer Dr Y Premchandra as guest of honour.
As part of the programme, medical kits and smartphones were distributed to
ASHA workers.
