Basic life support training held

The office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur in collaboration with the Directorate of Health, Manipur organised a One Day Certified Medical First Responder and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for Medical Officers of Rapid Response Teams (RRT) (Health) for first batch in connection with the upcoming State Assembly election, 2022, today at Indian Medical Association Hall (IMA), Lamphelpat conducted by St John Ambulance (India), Manipur State Centre.
Priorities of First Aid & Incident Management, Basic Life Support (including CPR & Recovery Position), Choking & Drowning, Bleeding Wounds, Shock, Dressings & Bandages, Burns & Scalds, Musculo-Skeletal injuries including head injuries, Heart Attack & Angina, Poisoning, Animal Bites & Stings, Transportation of a casualty were among the topics discussed with PowerPoint Presentation by the Health Experts (Doctors) during the training.
Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Naorem Praveen Singh while delivering the inaugural speech said that the training programme is being conducted in compliance with the instructions laid down by the Election Commission of India regarding Health Emergency to be followed during election, the medical facilities to be provided to polling personnel and to enable timely response in case of medical emergencies.
