Retired bureaucrats and health staff should come forward to fight against COVID-19

Dedicated retired IAS, bureaucrat officers and health staff should come forward and help the Government in fighting against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in the State.
The above statement was made by former MLA of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Assembly Constituency, RK Anand during an inspection visit at the Community Health Isolation Centre (CHIC) opened at Pitambara English School in Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi today.
RK Anand also extended monetary aid and donated edible items like eggs, milk, sugar, biscuits, drinking water bottles etc to the CHIC during the visit today.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that opening of CHIC is essential for those families which do not have proper home isolation facilities and lauded the contributions of volunteers of local clubs and organisations of the constituency for effective management of the centre.
Welcoming the Government's decision of conducting mass testing for COVID-19, RK Anand stated that the further spread of COVID-19 pandemic can be properly checked only when the positive patients are isolated for proper treatments.
He also lauded the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh who have taken up strong measures to save the people from COVID-19.Further he opined that the forum of former MLAs of Manipur should convened a meeting soon and as an experienced team to come with measures and contribute towards the activities of the Government and public to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
The national media should also give more focus on the current situation of Manipur and other Northeastern States, he added.
He maintained that the Government should also see that-the public are receiving adequate medical facilities during the ongoing second wave of COVID-19 to save the lives of the people.
Lastly he appealed to the retired IAS, bureaucrats and health staff to come forward and contribute whatever they can and help the Government and masses in the war against COVID-19 and save mankind.
And continuing his gesture of extending help to the affected households in containment zones, he distributed relief items to the new containment zones at Langthabal Terahei, Kwakeithel Akham Leikai and at containment zones near Iskcon today.
