Peace poster, slogan competitions

Imphal, November 01 2021:
Lions Club of Imphal Global on Sunday organised a Peace Poster Contest on the theme 'We are all connected' at Ima Khunthokhanbi Shanglen, DMU campus.
In a release, Lions Club of Imphal Global president Kosygin Leishangthem stated that the competition was participated by 26 students with Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No 1, Lamphel's Presila Heikhurjam winning the first position, KV No 2, Langjing's Julian L second and JNV Khumbong's S Echan Devi securing the third position.
Consolation prizes were awarded to KV No 2's Minerva Th, KV No l's Juliana T, JNV's Y PritamRaj and RK Sanatombi School's Ng Nipilen.
The prizes will be distributed during the Charter Night celebration in second week of November, it added.
Lions Club of Imphal East also conducted a Peace Poster Contest on the same theme-at Kongpal Kongkham Leikai with the participation of 33 students in the age group of 11-13 years.
The first position was won by Taniya Oinam of Nirmalabas High School and second by Leishangthem Rup Singh of KV Lamphel.
The poster drawn by Taniya Oinam will be forwarded for second round of judging for international award selection.
Meanwhile, a slogan writing competition was organised by Central GST Commissionerate, Imphal at Khundrakpham Model High School, Imphal East district on October 29, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week being held from October 26-November 1.The competition held under the theme 'Fighting Corruption' was participated by 60 students.
Ngamthoiba Irungbam won the first position, Stallion Phijham second and Joyshree Phijam the third position.
They were awarded cash prize of Rs 2000, Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 respectively.
