Intending candidates hold rally, distribute LPG kits

As the campaign for 2022 state assembly election intensifies, BJP Wangkhei Mahila Morcha organised a torch rally in support of Wangkhei MLA Y Erabot in Minuthong Hafiz Hatta and Golapati areas on Wednesday evening.
MLA Erabot also participated in the torch rally, which was flagged off from his residence at Khurai Ahongei.
The MLA appealed to his supporters and people of the constituency to contribute in making the election free, fair and peaceful while allowing the public to freely exercise their democratic rights.
Stating that filing police case against an innocent person is not right, the MLA said that he will fight the case and ensure that justice is delivered to each and every person of the constituency.
He also called for unity and integrity among the people of different communities settling in the constituency.
Meanwhile, Keirao MLA and deputy chairman of State Planning Board Lourembam Rameshwar has started distribution of LPG kits to 332 families of the constituency in a function held at his Kyamgei residence on Thursday.
On Thursday, he distributed cylinders, stoves and documents for new LPG connections to 104 beneficiaries.
He praised the Ujjwala Yojana introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and elaborated on how the scheme has benefited women from poor families and improved their health.
He called for public support in the 2022 state assembly election and elect him as the representative of the constituency once again so that he could take up further development programmes and bring unity among the people of different communities in the constituency.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited Imphal sales manager Gaichiung, Khumbong Gas Agency proprietor Ningombam Ibomcha and representatives of Hiyangthang Indane Gramiri Utrak were also present during the programme.
