Clinical trial held for fitting prosthetic hands

A clinical trial for fitting prosthetic hands was done at Department of Community Medicine, RIMS today by staff of Tezpur University in association with the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur.
The clinical trial was carried out by the Academic Study/Clinical Trial of EMG Controlled, Prosthetic Hand (Enrich) Embedded Systems and Robotics Laboratory Tezpur University, Assam under the aegis of Innovation Hub Foundation for Cobotics, Technology Innovation Hub IIT Delhi , DST, Government of India, said a press release by the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur.
Today's clinical trial of fitting prosthetic hands was done on seven persons.
Also a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for five years was signed between the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur and Tezpur University, Assam in the presence of Professor Brojen Singh Akoijam, Head of Department of Community Medicine, RIMS, added the press release.
