LNKR-M hails upgrade of Tamei PHC

Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi-Manipur (LNKR-M), the apex students' body of Liangmai people in Manipur, has expressed its happiness over the recent state cabinet decision to upgrade Primary Health Centre (PHC), Tamei to Community Health Centre (CHC) .
In a statement issued by its president Mathiuchunbou Rimai, LNKR-M said that it was made possible only through the "able leadership of chief minister N Biren Singh." According to LNKR-M, PHC, Tamei has been functioning smoothly and now under its medical officer in-charge Dr E A Adani Aricho and his colleagues Dr Robin Chiru and Dr Kawimai Newmai, the PHC was also awarded "Kaya Kalp Award" in 2022 .
It can be noted here that PHC, Tamei is giving healthcare to people of around 70 Liangmai villages.
LNKR-M also acknowledged the contributions made by water resources minister Awangbow Newmai in this regard, while adding that Awangbow has been rendering his help to the Liangmai people.
According to the students' body, when the Liangmai villagers faced hardship due to Covid-19 pandemic, minister Awangbow installed oxygen plant and provided oxygen concentrator at PHC, Tamei and ensured availability of all the other basic requirements.
LNKR-M also conveyed that SDO Tamei Renee Newmai has contributed in uplifting the PHC by providing all the necessary infrastructure and water pipeline along with overseeing any need of the PHC whenever required.
Meanwhile, LNKR-M has pressed authorities concerned to implement and execute the decision taken by the state cabinet.
