Thoubal, January 29 2023:
Kangleipak Apunba Lamjing Lup Langathel and Iron Team Langathel have restricted plying of heavy vehicles carrying excavated soils along the road passing Langathel village.
Speaking to media persons, P Lenil, secretary Kangleipak Apunba Lamjing Lup Langathel stated that the road passing the village is in a deplorable condition and the heavy vehicles plying along this road has worsened its condition.
"The dust generated from the road by heavy vehicles carrying excavated soils for brick farms located in Khongjom area of Thoubal district has caused serious health concerns for the people of Langathel", he added.

He also raised questions over the large-scale excavation of soil for brick farms from paddy fields of the area despite the Government's effort to save paddy fields & make the State self-reliant in agricultural products.
P Lenil further appealed to the Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister to look into the matter and take necessary action at the earliest for the welfare of the people.
