ATSUM demands age relaxation on permanent basis

While appreciating Chief Minister Okram Ibobi for his assurance given in the House on considering extension of upper age limit for candidates in Manipur Civil Services Examination-2014, All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) has urged the State Government to extend the upper age limit on a permanent basis rather as a one-time measure.
Talking to media persons at Nagaram here today, Information Secretary of ATSUM Micah Kamei said that the Government is considering extension of upper age limit of MCS candidates from 30 to 35 years for general and 35 to 40 years for ST, but the Union wants upper age limit of 40 years for general, 45 years for ST and subsequent relaxation for other categories on a permanent bases with effect from the upcoming Manipur Civil Services Examination-2014, he noted.
