Assam Rifles conducts Medical Camp, Computer Training

As part of its humanitarian services at the remote border areas of the state, the 6 DOGRA of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) organised a medical camp at a border village New Khumkot, according to a release of PRO, IGAR (South).
The medical team conducted the health checkup for the villagers and distributed free medicines, which was followed by a lecture on basic health and hygiene in which causes and preventive measures to prevent common diseases were highlighted.
Meanwhile, the 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under HQ IGAR (South) launched a Computer Literacy Mission at Assam Rifles High School, Pallel.
This noble initiative has been taken up to train students in computers which is the basic need in today's advanced world.
The computer infrastructure existing in ARHS Pallel will be made available to students hailing from far flung, hill region and do not have access to such facilities.
The first course of two weeks of the mission started with 17 students, and more students from Pallel area will be trained in the subsequent courses.
