Oxygen concentrators, PPEs donated; aid extended

Seva Bharati Manipur handed over oxygen concentrators provided by Sewa Canada and Oxygen Langar to several hospitals in the state on Thursday as volunteer coordinator Lt General (Retd) L Nisikanta procured 40 oxygen concentrators from the Canadian social group 'Oxygen langar' for the state.
The oxygen concentrators were distributed to health centres and individuals at Yairipok, Maram, Loktak Project, Hiyan-glam, Thoubal, Karang Island, Thanga, Imphal East, CMC Hospital, Noney, Yourbung, Oinam and Vaichung.
Seva Bharati also launched an oxygen bank with the objective of ensuring oxygen supply to patients in home isolation.
People may contact L Nishikanta or Seva Bharati Imphal if oxygen is needed.
On the other hand, Sunbird Trust under the support of Anaha Trust founder Balagopal Chandrashekhar, donated N 95 masks, triple layer mask, PPE, hand sanitizers, gloves and oximeters to district hospitals and primary health centres in Tamenglong, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Moirang, Singngat, Noney and Oinam through the respective chief medical officers.
Anaha Trust is a partner organisation of Sunbird Trust.
Sunbird Trust works in association with a local trust called Lyzon Friendship School, Khomunom Singngat.
An ambulance vehicle was also donated to Oinam district hospital by the Trust.
In connection with Bank Day celebration, State Bank of India (SBI) donated 100 PPE kits to managing director Dr Ratan of Mother & Child Care Hospital, Sagolband under the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
Similarly, an NGO called 'Every Infant Matter' with support from Centre for Development Initiatives (CDI), Delhi donated 17 oxygen concentrators to the district hospital and five oxygen cylinders to Singngat PHC.
The donated items were handed over to Churachandpur DC and CMO of the district hospital.
Royal Riders Manipur along with North American Manipur Association provided edible items to doctors who are members of the riders club and have been working as frontline warriors in the fight against Covid-19.They also distributed face masks and sanitizers to police personnel.
Meanwhile, All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) along with All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA) and Northern United Clubs' Organisation (NUCO) distributed edible items to 171 destitute families living in different parts of Imphal West and Kangpokpi district including Khonghampat Awang Leikai, Mayai Leikai, Mantri Leikai, Khunou, Khamaran, Pheidinga, Maharabi, Sekmai, Loitang, Kanto Makha Leikai, Motbung, Kalapahar and Sapermeina.
Under the aegis of AMUCO, United Club Organisation Bishnupur District (UCOBID) also provided medicines including AYUSH-64 and Arsenic Album-30 to volunteers of Bishnupur District Covid-19 Task Force residing in Bishnupur ward no.4 .
Edible items were also distributed to vulnerable households in the locality.
On the other hand, BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president Usham Deben provided edible items to Community Home Isolation Centre set up at Wabagai High School and Wabagai Awang Leikai Primary School while social worker Wahengbam Dineshchandra provided edible items to 34 households in Heinoubok that have been notified as containment zones and National Youth Project (NYP) Manipur State Council distributed dry ration to Punya Children Home for Girls of IW-CDC located at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai.
On the occasion of 66 SBI Bank Day, SBI Churachandpur Branch manager Muanzo Duhlian handed over face masks and hand sanitizer to district police at SP Office for further distributing to personnel of CCP PS, WPS, TCP, CPC, district hospital out-post, mini-secretariat post and other static post.
In connection with the observance of National Doctor's day, BJP Manipur Pradesh executive member S Kebi honoured doctors who have been combating Covid-19 in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa constituency by providing simple gifts.
