Imphal, January 30 2022:
Sekmai AC ex-MLA Ningthoujam Biren, who was seeking BJP ticket to contest the assembly election, has contended that there is no hope of doing good deeds by BJP.
Speaking to media persons at Congress Bhawan here on Sunday, Biren said that he was associated with the BJP for eight years and sought the saffron party's ticket for the 2017 assembly election but not allotted the same.
In-spite of the rejection, he remained loyal to the party as an active member in order to help the BJP candidate secure the seat.
Stating that he had no regrets over denial of the ticket considering that he was a newcomer then, Biren pointed out that he contested the assembly election seven times and won three times.
Biren also maintained that he has been working for the welfare of the people and also took vital roles in getting votes for BJP.
The beliefs that the party will do good and ethical things are all lost.
There is no hope in BJP, he maintained, while adding that there is no space for seniority in BJP.
Instead, the party sidelines them.
Urging the people to root out the party from the state, Biren said that he will resign from BJP and will join Congress.
