BJP ticket seeker resigns, joins JD-U

Former BJP candidate in Khangabok AC Thokchom Jadumani has resigned from primary membership of BJP and joined JD (U) to contest the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
Jadumani took the decision of resigning from BJP during a meeting held on Sunday at his residence.
"The meeting was attended by BJP Khangabok Mandal president Laishram Tomba Khuman, vice-president (Minority Morcha) president and presidents of 47 booths of the AC and members.
During the meeting, Laishram Tomba Khuman declared that BJP Khangabok Mandal has been dissolved with immediate effect as all its functionaries and members have resigned en masse.
In his speech at the meeting, Jadumani said that he joined BJP in the year 1994 and shouldered immense responsibility of the party by holding various positions including secretary and vice-president of the state unit.
Jadumani also said that he has no resentment over denial of BJP ticket to him but allotting the ticket to a person who has not a single follower was unfair.
He also said that BJP would not even get 10 seats in the upcoming election leave aside getting absolute majority.
He also declared that he would be joining JD(U) to contest the upcoming election under the party's flag and symbol.
