Kakching MLA checks Kha Manipur College for opening CCC/CHIC

Kakching, May 11 2021:
Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh accompanied by Kakch-ing deputy commissioner D Gangmei, SP Victoria Yengkhom and other officials on Tuesday inspected Kha Manipur College Kakching for opening a Covid Care Centre (CCC)/Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) considering the problems faced in accommodating new patients in the existing CCC/CHICs of the district.
During the inspection which was also participated by Kha Manipur College principal Pukhrambam Raghu; Physics Department head M Sanaton; Kakching District Isolation Ward, Covid-19 Kakching District Management and Reporting in-charge Dr Y Nando; Covid Testing Management and Reporting, RAT Portal, Screening Report Portal in-charge Dr P Robin and local club members, detailed discussion was held to convert the college into CCC/CHIC.
A team from Ema Hospital Kakching also checked out the college for opening a CCC to be run by them inside the premises.
Later in the evening, the MLA supervised sanitisation programme at containment zones, markets, and PHC Pallel at Irengband, Sora and Pallel area under Kakching AC.
He also oversaw the vaccination programme being held at PHC Pallel and discussed the requirements of the centre with the staff.
Meanwhile, M Rameshwar on Tuesday diverted the water flowing towards Kakching Ithei at Kakching Ithei Maru Pick-up Wear Dam to Sengmai river, in view of drastic drop in water level of the Sengmai river which led to suspension of water supply in the district.
