Imphal, October 17 2013:
Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has reiterated the 'declaration' of the 3rd Naga Peoples' Convention (NPC) of July 1, 2010 that the Nagas will severe all political ties with the Government of Manipur and demanded 'Alternative Arrangement' to the Government of India outside the Government of Manipur pending Indo-Naga political settlement saying that it is impossible to protect their right to life, land, time honoured institution, customary practices and values under the administration of the the dominant and communal Government of Manipur.
TNL said the Nagas have enough recorded the harsh reality that the Government of Manipur has never recognised and respected the identity and prestige of the Nagas.
"While upholding the 3rd NPC declaration, the TNL will severe all political ties with Government of Manipur, dominant organisations and individuals who colluded with it.
We will oppose and ban those party(s), group(s) or individual(s) in their attempt to intrude into our land to deliberately dilute our political stand," the TNL stated.
