PMEGP Loan Holders Association, Phubala Branch Bishnupur on Thursday appealed to the authorities not to sanction loans and halt distribution of certificates to the trainees of Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) until EDP training is given to them.
Speaking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club, Association Secretary O Jiban said that 24 loan applicants have opened account at UCO Bank at Phubala Branch for the for PMEGP Scheme 2014-15 phase.
He alleged that out of 24 applicants only 8 applicants were given sanction letter by the Manager without proper notification and selection but 15 applicants were given sanction letter after the training start but failed to participated in the training.
The selected individuals have participated in the 10-day training programme on Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at ICM.
