No manipulation of RR: OSD archives Abdul Salam

Former deputy director of Manipur State archives Md Abdul Salam has clarified that there was no manipulation of Recruitment Rules (RR) in the promotion of record attendant grade II to grade I.Refuting allegation of manipulating RR in the promotion of Manipur State Archives record attendant grade II to grade I as reported in some sections of media, Md Abdul Salam, who is currently serving as of OSD Manipur State Archives, said in a statement that gazette notification for RR for record attendant grade I was published on November 10, 2000 after the then deputy secretary (DP) Gyan Prakash issued a notification on October 16, 2000 .
The RR was prepared during the tenure of then deputy director (archives) K Sushila.
As per the RR, Y Yaima Devi served in the Manipur State Archives as record attendant grade II after completing training course in servicing & repairing of records.
Yaima Devi underwent certificate course for record management at the National Archives, New Delhi in May, 2000 and accordingly promoted her to the post of record attendant grade I upon completion of the training.
Y Yaima Devi's promotion order was signed by the then director (art & culture) Kh Sorojini Devi on December 6, 2006.As per the RR enacted in 2000, incumbent record attendant grade II namely Chitra and Nilabati Devi cannot be promoted to the post of record attendant grade I as both lack the essential certificate course for record management, Md Abdul Salam said in the statement and even offered cash reward if anyone could bring out the alleged manipulated copy of the RR enacted in 2000 .
