AMOFA, F4C triumph in State League

All Moirang Football Association (AMOFA) and Football 4 Change Academy (F4C) carried the day in Monday's fixtures of the AMFA Cup 2022 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
AMOFA started the day with a 2-1 victory as Hemam Samson Singh starred in his side's triumph against Angtha FC.
AMOFA were made to work hard by their opponents for their opener as they endured 37 minutes of a gruelling battle to break down Angtha FC's defence and set up Samson to score.
After their goal, AMOFA grew in confidence and went on the offensive in the second period.
They took just four minutes into the second half to make further inroads.
Samson stood out among the rest at the other end as he made another successful conversion in the 49th minute and doubled AMOFA's advantage.
After trailing by two goals, Angtha FC showed urgency and went all out attacking and that yielded the result they wanted in the 52nd minute.
It was Sorokhaibam Kaphoi Singh who halved the deficit for Angtha, who, however, failed to further improve in the remaining minutes to be on the losing side.
The other match saw F4C score at both ends to ease past J Songtun Youth Club 2-0.Abelson Jachi opened the scoring in the 24th minute as Mangminlun Singson converted from the penalty spot in the last minute of stoppage time to guide their team to a convincing win.
The next fixtures (September 21) pit KYVO against TRUGPU and LYGSEDA against YOSC.
