Drug peddler, vehicle lifters apprehended

As part of the government's War on Drugs' mission, a drug peddler was apprehended during an operation carried out near Keikhu Kabui village gate on Sunday.
The apprehended drug smuggler has been identified as Md Imtias Khan (31) s/o (L) Md Abdul Slam of Keikhu Awang Leikai.
According to a police report, a team of Irilbung PS was conducting frisking and checking operation near Keikhu Kabui Khul gate on Sunday, during which Md Imtias was arrested with 8 gm of heroin.
In this regard, Irilbung PS has registered a case and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, a team of Kakching District Police Commando arrested two people with three stolen bikes on Sunday night.
The arrested people have been identified as Md Azad Khan (25) s/o Amjad Ali of Sora Awang Leikai and Md Anish Khan (22) s/o Md Anwar Khan of Moreh Ward No.5, presently residing at Sora Chingya Leikai.
According to a police source, following receipt of reliable information of some stolen vehicles being hidden at the Sora Awang Leikai residence of one Md Azad Khan at around 9pm Sunday, a team of Kakching District Police Commando conducted a raid and recovered one Royal Enfield Classic 350 (DL 4 SDM-5923), an unregistered Royal Enfield Meteor 350, and a KTM Duke (AS 03 AD 0473).The team also arrested Azad Khan around 9.45 pm after he failed to produce any documents related to the three vehicles.
On questioning, Azad Khan revealed that the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was brought to him by Md Anish Khan.
The team then arrested Anish Khan from his residence around 10.30 pm.
Anish was also interrogated, and he revealed that the vehicles were handed over to him by one Boboy from Lilong, to be sold off in Moreh/Myanmar.
Both the arrested people and the seized vehicles have been handed over to Kakching PS for further legal action.
