KNF celebrates 27th Rising Day

The Kuki National Front (KNF) celebrated its 27th Rising Day at Camp Ebenezer, Natheljang today.
Around 3000 people including leaders of Kuki Inpi Manipur, KSO (Ghqs), KWU, chiefs, Human Rights activists, and prominent Kuki UG leaders like TS Haokip, Defence Secretary, KNO and other delegates of UPF and KNO attended the programme.
Aaron Kipgen, general secretary of KNF in his condolence message pointed out that many cadres of the outfit died � while some fell in the hands of the security forces, many comrades died due to factional fights � since the outfit's formation on May 18, 1987 .
But they all died for the cause of the Kuki armed movement.
Those who gave their life are not forgotten but remembered with great honour, he added.
KNF president ST Thangboi, stressed the need of unity in the Kuki society while giving the unity call to the people.
He said that political solution to the Kuki people would not be far once the people unite.
Observing that the Kuki political movement is at the crossroads, he called upon all concerned to stand united.
Home secretary Jangboi proposed the vote of thanks while budding artistes like Jenny Touthang, Lalparzo, Anjali and Gougin Kipgen enthralled the gatherings with their performances.
