Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) is not pleased with the quality of repairing and maintenance work executed on NH-2.The student's body expressed resentment over the alleged sub-standard work saying that the quality of the asphalt used in the repairing work was poor resulting to developing many potholes between Senapati to Maram.
SDSA questioned the concerned department, work agency/contractor as to why they could not maintain quality in the work.
It also stated that SDSA is fully committed to quality maintenance of the highway, which is the lifeline of the State, while appealing all concerned organizations/groups including militant groups not to disturb the ongoing work.
Commitment of the association has been fully supported by the general public abd can't be ignored nor compromised at any cost, a SDSA source said.
SDSA demanded the individuals who are involved and engaged in the repairing works to execute the work honestly with proper utilisation of the sanctioned fund in the interest of the general public failing which SDSA would take up any democratic form of agitation.
SDSA also cautioned that the Department/Work agencies would be responsible for any untoward circumstances.
