Imphal, January 10 2013:
When all the indigenous communities of the State are united, no force can threaten the territorial integrity of Manipur, whether it is the Indo-Naga peace talk, asserted former Union Minister and BJP Manipur unit president Thounaojam Chaoba.
Chaoba was speaking at a felicitation function of the political leaders who have joined BJP recently, and elected Zilla Parishad Members, Pradhans, Gram Panchayat Members and Ward Members of the party.
The function held today at the party's Nityaipat Chuthek office was also attended by BJP national general secretary Tapir Gao.
After inaugurating the function by hoisting the party's flag by Tapir Gao, BJP North East Zonal organising secretary P Chandra Sekhar Rao launched a website of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
Addressing the gathering, Th Chaoba asserted that the Indo-Naga peace talk can never threaten the integrity of Manipur.
When all indigenous communities are opposed to the idea of breaking up Manipur, no force on earth can disturb territorial integrity of Manipur.

Recalling that 18 people lost their lives when the Indo-Naga cease fire was extended to Manipur during BJP-led NDA regime, Chaoba claimed that the NDA Government on realisation of the ground reality of Manipur omitted the words 'without territorial limits' from the cease fire pact.
BJP then went a step further and announced in the Parliament that Manipur's territorial integrity should not be compromised under any circumstances.
Observing that the Indo-Naga cease fire seems de facto operational in Manipur even though there is no cease fire officially, Chaoba asked why the people are not questioning such doublespeak of the Government.
He also questioned the standpoint of Congress party on this issue.
Alleging that the Government has failed miserably on development fronts, Chaoba reminded that it was during the BJP-led NDA Government Anti-Defection Law was enacted thereby ensuring stability of Government both at the Centre and in States.
Even though there is stable Government in the State as a result of the Anti-Defection Law, the Government has done very little for development of the State.
The tiny state of Manipur has emerged as a powerhouse in the field of sports on account of BJP's efforts, not because of the Congress Government, Chaoba claimed.
Although, the Congress Government has been ruling the State for more than 10 years, there is no infrastructure development.
People have been enduring acute power crisis as well as woes of sub-standard transport infrastructure.
Even as there were numerous cases of violence and crime against women, the Congress Government never bothered to deliver justice.
It is time for womenfolk of the State to raise a revolt against the Congress Government which shares little empathy with women's concerns, Chaoba asserted.
He further called upon to all BJP supporters to start working from now so as to ensure that the party can send two MPs to the Parliament after the Lok Sabha election of 2014 .
Tapir Gao asserted that corruption is abnormally high within Congress Governments of Manipur and the Centre.
The Government led by O Ibobi has failed on all fronts.
Stating that BJP is planning to field their candidates in both the Parliamentary constituencies of Manipur in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Tapir Gao exhorted all party workers to work with unity and commitment.
