RPF cautions against SF's designs

Imphal, November 24 2011: Cautioning the people, the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has observed that it is high time for the people to think over and understand what the Indian security forces want to do in Manipur.

In a statement, Chief of Department of Publicity of RPF Taohangsu Heiremcha asserted that over the last 62 years of Indian rule, many undesirable incidents have taken place in Manipuri society with Indian Army taking the role of wiping out the entire population.

The chastity of many Manipuri women has been violated, many innocent people have lost their lives and public properties destroyed.

Innocent people are being arrested in the name counter insurgency and subjected to third degree method of torture like giving electric shocks in their private parts, forced to drink acid and eat unknown objects.

But the state government remains in a state of limbo, doing nothing to stop all these illegal activities of the Indian security forces.

The public also could do nothing in the recent incident of arrest of a 23-year old youth from Tangjeng Khunou under Thoubal district by personnel of 27 Assam Rifles posted at Sugnu and who was subjected to third degree method of torture so that he could not father any child of his own.

Instead of mobilizing the people against such excesses of the security forces, the local MLAs too have been trying to pacify the people and the people are easily being misled.

But the unfortunate fact is that possibility of similar torture on male members in every household could not be ruled out.

Public should understand that Indian security forces have already started a secret ploy and strategy under the guise of civic military programmes to wipe out Manipuri society.

In furtherance of this evil design, Indian Army has been trying to find inroads into every aspects of public life.

What is even funnier is that the Indian security forces who have been responsible for raping and killing Manorama, a Meetei Chanu at Jiri, Ahanjaobi Chanu, Chanu Rose, etc have started acting like brothers hosting Ningol Chakkouba feast, the statement of the RPF added.
