One dies in LPG blast

A middle-aged man has been killed due to severe burn injuries following a gas cylinder (LPG) blast at Langthabal Lep at around 11.30 am today.
It is informed that the victim namely Khaidem Ingocha (42) s/o Kh Chaoba suspecting leakage in the gas cylinder tried to repair it.
Family members informed that due to extreme heating of the cylinder, Ingocha was about to carry the LPG cylinder for cooling at the nearby pond when it exploded.
Even though he was rushed to a nearby hospital he succumbed on the way, maintained a local who added that the exploding cylinder landed at a neighbour's place.
Meanwhile, 37-year old Angoumaring Mate s/o (L) Lungthoilai of Lamdan village under Churachandpur district has been admitted to JNIMS Hospital with self-inflicted injuries on the legs, hands and other body parts from an accidental firing.
The incident reportedly took place at around 8 am today when Angoumaring tripped and fell while moving out from home with the weapon already in load-mode.
