MCC seeks cycle parking at Sangai Festival venue

Manipur Cycle Club (MCC) urged the organisers of Manipur Sangai Festival to arrange a parking lot for cycles at the festival venue.
A press release issued by the club expressed disappointment on the absence of cycle parking and also mentioned about the chances of dropping the festival without witnessing by the cyclists who are on a tour to Keibul Lamjao as part of the festival.
Besides, the club is encouraging the people of the State to cycle down to the festival venue and witness it with a new taste by creating non-polluted environment, said the statement.
The press release appreciated Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh for his decision announced on 7th Kangla Day to restrict plying of all types of vehicles inside Kangla fort.
The statement also suggested the State authority for taking initiative to bring the historical place a carbon free zone by introducing rented cycles and rickshaws to the visitors.
Such initiative can also help elderly and differently able persons while visiting the place, said the press release.
