PFA pleased with Maneka Gandhi's cabinet berth

The Thoubal Unit of People for Animals (PFA) has expressed pleasure over the appointment of its national chairperson Maneka Sanjay Gandhi as a cabinet minister in newly formed Narendra Modi's government at the centre.
Expecting positive changes in the effort of PFA for the cause of animal and environment in Manipur, the PFA in a statement gave assurance that it will highlight the present issues of mass poaching, neglected deforestation, wildlife smuggling, slaughter houses, national park and sanctuaries to the new government.
While pledging to work harder to control illegal poaching and regulates slaughter houses of the state, the PFA unit said that it is also looking forward to bring a solid development in the deteriorated ecology and environment of the state.
PFA further appealed to the police and forest department of the state to be helpful in its activities with more dedication and interest.
