Imphal, May 28 2014:
Reiterating that the results of the MPSC conducted MCSCC (Prelim) 2014 be nullified and fresh examination be conducted, the Joint Students' Coordinating Committee (JSCC) and All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) have warned of launching intense forms of agitation both in the hill and valley if the demand is not heeded.
The two students' bodies have also urged the Manipur Public Service Commission to halt the process for issuing of forms for the MCSCC (Mains) exam which began from May 21 .
Speaking to media persons today at AMSU office, Convenor of JSCC, Thangjam Premananda pointed out answer key to 15 questions of the MCSCC (Prelim) exam 2014 was given erroneously by the MPSC.
To cover up the faux pas, the Commission has awarded grace marks to all candidates for the 15 questions.
He asserted that awarding grace marks in competitive exams is unconventional and such norm is unheard of.
Besides, the results of the preliminary exam was declared in two phasesonce on May 14 where 467 candidates were declared to have passed and on May 16 where another 290 candidates were declared passed.
The Commission also released the answer keys of the exam thrice on different occasions with many technical errors, he pointed out while adding that such unfair conduct of the Commission has dampened the spirits of many aspiring candidates.
Suresh further demanded that the MPSC ceases conducting the exams if it is so incompetent to conduct it.
Addressing the press meet, ATSUM General Secretary, Vareiyo Shatshang demanded immediate nullification of the preliminary exam and the same should be conducted afresh.
He warned that intense forms of agitation would be launched unless fresh examination is conducted.
