ATUM office bearers removed

Newly formed Aimol Tribe Union Manipur (ATUM) President KT Akhel claimed on Friday that the former tribe union executive bodies including president and election commission were dissolved after a public meeting on June 23 under the leadership of Chanthoi Aimol, ADC member at Ngairong village, Chandel district.
Speaking to the media persons at Manipur Press Club, ATUM President KT Akhel alleged that former President S Muntuireng and their members were removed by the public after they failed to work for the public and Muntuireng himself announced Aimol tribe as Naga.
They violate the principal of neutrality which was adopted by the Aimol people in the past.
He said "Aimol is not Naga nor Kuki, Aimol will stay as Aimol".
Akhel said any press statement any matters use by former presidents and executives will not be entertained by the ATSUM.
In the meeting out of 15 Aimol villages, 11 Aimol villages chief and secretaries participated and resolved to dismiss their former executives of ATUM members including President, election commissions and the entire members.
