5 new Primary Schools inaugurated in Tamenglong

Five Primary Schools have been inaugurated and dedicated to the people of Tamenglong District's Tousem subdivision by Hill Areas Committee (HAC) Vice Chairman Z Kikhonbou Newmai.
Kikhonbou Newmai, who is also the MLA of Tamei constituency, formally inaugurated and dedicated to the people the newly constructed five Primary Schools at Langnon, Pongmol, Thingtubung, Bulbung and Ngalunphai villages of Tousem subdivision.
Flanked by Oinamlong Autonomous District Council (ADC) member Tadinang Gangmei and Phaitol ADC member Hatlhing Doungel, Newmai told newsmen that these schools were constructed with the fund provided under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) .
Solar lamps were also distributed to the villagers of Phaiton while opening the Primary School there, the MLA said.
Commenting on the ensuing ADC polls, Congress MLA Kikhonbou Newmai was confident of winning more than 30 ADC seats.
The total number of seats of the six councils in the five hill districts of Manipur is 140.He appealed all to refrain from disruptive activities against development works being taken up in the hills.
