Surprise inspection carried out at JNIMS

With the aim of providing complete access to health care facilities and improve patient-doctor relationship, a surprise inspection was carried out at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) on Saturday night.
A team consisting of JNIMS director Prof L Deven, Medical Superintendent Kh Lokeshwar and the hospital authority inspected the casualty, gynae ward, surgery ward and testing laboratories.
As part of the inspection, the team also looked into the difficulties faced by doctors and nurses on duty, in addition to finding out whether they are performing their duty properly and the inconveniences faced by patients admitted to the wards.
Speaking in this regard, director L Deben assured that the issues that were detected during the inspection would be addressed as soon as possible, while urging doctors and nurses to report shortages and inconveniences in the wards through the MS.He also said that the hospital authority has been taking up steps to maintain a clean environment in the campus, including beautification of the surrounding areas and installation of dustbins at suitable locations.
On top of this, the drains in the campus are being cleaned to prevent any flooding during the monsoon season, in addition to prohib iting spitting and dumping of trash in the hospital campus.
He then appealed to the people visiting JNIMS to extend their support and cooperation in this regard.
