MLA Noorul initiates anti-drug campaign

Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan has started taking up steps to make the constituency free from drugs and bring speedy development.
As the first step towards achieving this goal, Noorul Hassan convened a joint meet with representatives and.
leaders of 54 clubs and organisations operating in the constituency on Sunday.
The joint meet held at his residence later agreed to form an apex body comprising presidents and secretaries of the 54 clubs and organisations named Kshetrigao United Club to aid the 'War on Drugs' campaign being initiated by chief minister N Biren.
MLA Noorul himself is chairman of the apex body which will work towards making Manipur and Kshetrigao AC free from drugs.
Noorul Hassan told media persons after the joint meeting that rehabilitation centres will be opened in Kshetrigao AC very soon from his side while supportive devices like CCTV cameras would be installed at strategic locations to back up activities of the anti-drug campaign volunteers.
Awareness programmes and sports activities will also be taken up as part of the drive, he added.
The meeting also resolved to maintain a corpus fund for clubs and organisations of the AC and allow these clubs and organisations to conduct sports activities and programmes frequently.
