Govt to bear treatment cost of IRB constable

Imphal, April 17 2022:
Chief minister N Biren has announced that the government will pay for the treatment of 8 IRB constable Khoisnam Deepak Singh, whose right eye was seriously injured during the agitation at Sora after the locals opposed land demarcation process for setting up of the Mega Food Park Project at Yaithibi Loukol on April 8.The chief minister gave the assurance while meeting in jured Kh Deepak and his family members.
CM N Biren assured the family that since constable Kh Deepak got injured while performing his duty, the state government will bear all the expenses for his treatment.
It may be recalled here that Kh Deepak s right eye was injured after getting hit by a sling shot fired by protestors at Sora on April 8, and doc tors referred him to hospital outside the state for receiving treatment.
