AR conducts community meeting at Molcham

The 4 Assam Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a community meeting at Molcham near Indo-Myanmar border.
According to a press note, due to the recent flash flood, supply of essential commodities and basic medical facilities has been severally affected in the border region.
The meeting was organized to find out the immediate problems being faced by the locals and to chart out measures to alleviate these problems.
Officers from the unit had an open interaction with the gathering and assured them all possible assistance from security forces including informing the civil administration at the District Headquarters about the discussed points.
As part of the ongoing relief efforts, the medical team of the unit distributed medicines to the affected individuals at Laiching village.
Security Forces with the help of locals re-constructed the wooden bridge near Phaisenjang village.
The existing iron bridge was washed away due to the recent flash flood.
The meeting culminated on a positive note with locals expressing all their problems and finding assurance in the words of the unit.
Village authorities expressed their gratitude to Security Forces for extending support at this critical juncture, said the press note.
