Imphal, September 03 2015:
Expressing deep concern over the tense situation unfolding in Manipur, the CorCom has asserted that the alleged alien rule has been spewing venom between the indigenous communities of the land.
Moreover, some people of the land who have been indoctrinated by India have been making insensible and inflammatory statements which have all the potential to create divisions and animosity among the indigenous communities of the land.
The recent statement made by some elements which alleged that the Kukis were outsiders dramatically raised the level of distrust and enmity among the indigenous communities during the last few days.
This sparked extensive violence resulting in huge casualties and a very tense situation, CorCom noted in a statement issued by its media coordinator Ksh Yoiheiba.
All the indigenous people of the land need to understand all those conspiracies and diabolical policies of the alleged colonial regime and defeat their diabolical designs collectively.
"All the indigenous people who have been reeling under the alleged colonial yoke must unite together and ensure that no external agency is driving wedges amongst us", CorCom called out.
The history of Manipur (Kangleipak) is a composite history of Kuki, Naga, Meitei and other ethnic groups.
These groups are bound by a fraternal bond and they have been living together on the soil of Manipur since time immemorial.
It was the collective strength of the hill people and plain people which safeguarded the Manipur nation from many external threats and aggression.
Many dreadful wars have been fought together and it is the bounden duty of all the indigenous communities to safeguard the land from external threats and challenges.
"The history of Kuki Rebellion and the Jadonang's movement still continues to inspire each and every one of us to face any challenge to our freedom", asserted the coordination committee.
Since ages, hill people and plain people have been living together sharing whatever they have.
They share an inseparable bond of fraternity.
This inseparable bond is further strengthened by many similarities shared among the indigenous people of the land.
All the indigenous people of the land are quite similar in terms of race, culture and language.
All of them belong to Mongoloid stock and they speak Tibeto-Burman languages.
"All these facts testify that we are one and there is no difference amongst us", it added.
