TYA endorses UNC bandh

The Thadou Youth Association (Ghqs) has endorsed the 48 hours NHs bandh called by United Naga Council against the three Bills passed on Aug 31 .
In a statement, president of TYA Ghqs Nehminthang Kipgen said that the MLR&LR (7th Amendment) Bill, 2015 is an attempt by the State Govt and the majoritarian community to encroach upon the ancestral land of tribals.
It also said that PMP Bill, 2015, which defines 'Manipur people' as persons of Manipur whose names are in the NRC 1951, census report of 1951 and village directory of 1951, is an attempt to exclude all the tribal of Manipur from this definition as the first ST Recognition by Govt of India was done only in 1956.It demanded the resignation of all tribal MLAs and MP of Manipur or face social boycott from the tribals.
TYA demanded a CBI probe into the death of three innocent tribal in the night of Aug 31 at Ccpur.
There should be no talks with the Govt of Manipur and civil society organisations until the three Bills are withdrawn by the State Assembly, it added.
The TYA also demanded separate administration for the tribals of Manipur.
