Hill Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit held across state

Imphal, September 16 2022: SENAPATI: The district administration on Friday organised its District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit for the month of September at Multipurpose Hall of Mini Secretariat, Senapati.

During the programme, 116 grievances were registered and presented to DC and DLOs on issues relating to relief & disaster, health, agriculture, social welfare, DRDA and others.

Medical department also opened a stall for screening non-communicable diseases and Covid vaccination.

During the event, dep uty commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari distributed various items under various departments to the beneficiaries.

Five knapsack sprayers and sic soil health cards were issued by the district agriculture office and the medical department; and 17 yarn cards were issued by the district handloom and textile department.

During the medical screening for non-communicable diseases, 48 persons availed free health check-ups under the Chief Minister Health for All scheme.

Nine health cards were also registered and seven persons were also vaccinated with Covishield booster doses by CASA team (Churches Auxiliaries Social Activists).

The programme was attended by ADM/CEO ADC, additional SP, BDOs, DLOs and public leaders.

In the meantime, the Directorate of Relief & Disaster Management, Manipur will be conducting a one-day training programme on disaster management, basic search & rescue, first aid, landslides, etc., for youths, women organisations, hills leaders, etc., at the Multipurpose Hall on September 21 at 11 am .

CHURACHANDPUR: The District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) was held at Multipurpose Hall, Mini-Secretariat Complex, Tuibong.

Deputy commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju, joined by the district level officers and officers from line departments, attended an interaction with the people to ensure that the grievances of the people were addressed adequately.

As a part of the programme, 41 government departments set up tables.

Vaccination programme and health check-up counters were set up by health department.

14 persons were administered vaccination and 26 provided free medical check-up.

Petitions on different subjects including drug menace in the town and frequent power shut down were also received.

A total of 150 complaints/applications were'received out of which 110 were resolved on the spot and 40 still pending.

Public leaders, village chiefs, CSO leaders, DI.Os from different departments and large number of people took part in the event.

JIRIBAM: The district held its 3rd Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders' Day at Ching -dong Leikai, DC Complex Jiribam, with additional deputy commissioner Jameson Hangshing, ZEO S Indrajit Singh, MES Th Amurashi Chanu, EE PHED W Anandakumar Singh, DGM MSPDCL K Kirankumar Singh, SDC Borobekra M Devananda Singh, and other district level officers of various government departments of the district attending the event.

Certain public services including various beneficiary oriented schemes like CMHT, PMJAY, old age pension, CM widow pension scheme and disability related benefits were delivered by the departments concerned on the spot, besides rendering of services to many individuals of the district by the departments such as agriculture, horticulture & soil conservation, health, social welfare, CAF & PD, etc.

The Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department distributed around 200 G9 banana saplings to a select farmer and CAF & PD department distributed 4 LPG cylinders to the beneficiaries, apart from distribution of forms to 24 individuals for coverage under old age pension scheme, CM widow pension scheme and CMST by the social welfare department.

On the other hand, 2 MSEID kits, 1 wheel chair, and 2 hearing aids under Inclusive Education for Desirable (1ED) scheme under SAMAGRA Shiksha Manipur (SIS) were provided to select Children with Special Needs (CWSN) through ZEO Jiribam.

Agriculture department also distributed micro nutrient and plant protection and insecticides to the farmers affected with pest infestation.

ERI application forms for cultivation of ERI food plants and rearing house were also issued by district sericulture office.

Besides, 3 people were administered Covid vaccine doses by a medical team led by Jiribam MO Dr N Soroja Devi.

The additional deputy commissioner heard the grievances of the people one by one and instructed the department officials concerned to redress their grievances.

More than 135 applications of various issues were also received for further necessary action.

On the sidelines of the event, ADC Jameson Hahgshing stressed the importance of organising such an event and urged the people to reap the benefits arranged' by the government.

THOUBAL: Meeyamgi Numit was organised by the district administration at the counting hall of DC office complex for the month of September on Friday.

DC A Subhash heard various grievances and demands of the public personally.

Altogether, applications for 231 schemes/services relating to different schemes like CMHT card, old age/widow pension card, weaver card, housing schemes and others were received on Friday.

The DC also CMHT cards to two beneficiaries, LPG connections to 11 women beneficiaries under the Ujjwala scheme and food safety registration certificate to 11 persons.

The district food safety administration also gave awareness to the people about the safety of food.

Leaflets were distributed to the public about the importance of food safety as well.

More than 20 stalls of different departments including police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, veterinary were opened to meet the demand of the public.

The day's event was also attended by SP Jogeshchandra Haobijam, CMO Dr Y Nokul, sub-divisional officers and other district level officers of different departments.

CHANDEL: The third edition of the District Hill Leaders Day & Meeyamgi Numit was held at the multipurpose hall of Mini Secretariat, DC complex.

In Friday's programme, DC M Rajkumar announced that the next people's day will be organised at different locations of the district so that people of different areas of the district can take advantage of the programme.

During the programme, ADC Chandel Md Firoj Khan and SDOs of all the three subdivisions interacted with the village leaders and discussed their issues one by one.

Applications of various issues related to developmental works and others were received for further necessary actions.

Different departments like health, social welfare, agriculture, ICDS and others rendered services to many individuals of the district.

The event was attended by SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.
