Medical Officer of Assam Rifles, Nampisha post treated one elderly local of Nampisha village suffering from acute urinary retention with a distended bladder.
The patient Ngachonmi Sharudang (88) was suffering from Benign Prostate Hypertrophy (BPH) for one year but he started experiencing acute pain on July 27, said IGAR (S) in a statement.
Saying that the village authority of Nampisha approached the Nampisha post of Assam Rifles for immediate help, it added that the Company Commander along with Medical Officer went to the individual's house and provided immediate relief to the villager while undertaking all the COVID-19 protocols.
The patient has been referred to CHC Kamjong for further treatment, it added.
