Imphal, July 29 2020:
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Manipur State has urged the State Government to look into the needs of sanitation workers under the Imphal Municipal Corporation during this time of pandemic.
BMS Manipur State, in a statement, demanded the Government to provide PPE, sanitizer, gloves, dressing room, washing room, etc for the sanitation workers in order to keep themselves from COVID-19 infection.
Some of their other demands include setting up a Safai Commission, payment of wages on time, registration of migrant workers, 75 percent EPF, etc.
BMS Manipur State also said they have been observing the all India 'Sarkar Jagao Saptah' from July 24 to 30 .
