Four districts report fresh cases

Imphal, August 19 2022:
The state on Friday reported only 11 new positive cases from four districts, out of 407 samples tested in the last 24 hours, registering 2.7 per cent positivity rate.
The 11 fresh cases (5 males & 6 females) are residents of Imphal West (4), Imphal East (2), Churachandpur (4) and Ukhrul (1) districts.
Friday also reported 12 recoveries from home isolation (8) and Shija Hospital (4) as the number of active cases dropped to 111, out of which 61 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Friday.
The pandemic has so far claimed 2143 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,39,586 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel in the state.
There are 28 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 54 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 28 D-type and 16 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2204 vaccine doses administered on Thursday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,24,594, out of which 12,96,352 had received the second dose and 2,31,552 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49744), Imphal East (30999), Thoubal (10285), Churachandpur (11238), Kangpokpi (3181), Tamenglong (3494), Bishnupur 9961), Senapati (2543), Ukhrul (3358), Kakching (6970), Chandel (2786), Noney (1172), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1051) and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (516), Thoubal (191), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur 1206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul 51), Kakching (124), Chandel 42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal 16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong 5) and Pherzawl (0) .
