KVK Hengbung gets new Visitors' House

A newly constructed visitors' house was inaugurated at the Orchid Research and Development Centre, KVK, Hengbung in Senapati district today.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the inaugural function, Secretary of Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), New Delhi TK Chandrashekar observed that the orchid cultivation is not an easy task that needs to be very careful.
So, scientific advance and knowledge gained through interaction with scientists in seminar and workshop is essential.
But successful cultivation of Orchid would ensure benefit to many people.
Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Haokholet Kipgen, President of Foundation for Environment and Economic Development Service (FEEDS), which is the host institute of KVK Hengbung, informed that the newly inaugurated Visitors' House having nine rooms has been constructed to cater to the need for accommodation of the scientists and other resource persons coming to visit KVK, Hengbung from outside for various purposes.
Scientific advisor of SERB, New Delhi HB Singh and Prof JM Laishram of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal were also present during the inaugural function of the visitors' house as Guests of Honour.
