NLF distributes recreational, learning items to displaced children

Moirang, July 21 2026: New Life Foundation (NLF), Bishnupur, with support from the Ajim Premji Foundation, distributed recreational and learning materials, along with essential items, to displaced children staying at 12 selected relief camps in the district having Child Facilitation Centres.

The distribution programme, organised by the New Life Foundation at Glory Children Home, Thamnapokpi, was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur Pooja Elangbam, New Life Foundation general secretary Dr Lamabam Pishak, representatives and staff of the Ajim Premji Foundation and New Life Foundation, and volunteers from the relief camps.

Items distributed during the programme included mats, solar lamps, skipping ropes, colour boxes, Ludo and carrom sets, rings, stands, fans, footballs, volleyballs, water boilers, extension coils and exercise books.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pishak said the initiative was part of the New Life Foundation's continued efforts, supported by the Ajim Premji Foundation, to extend assistance to children in 12 selected relief camps in Bishnupur district.

He said the initiative, with special emphasis on sports and recreational activities, aims to help children overcome mental and physical stress to some extent and contribute towards their overall well-being.

Dr Pishak also expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, for attending the programme and extending support towards initiatives aimed at bringing positive changes in the behaviour and mental well-being of displaced children.
