Mass vaccination programmes conducted across state

Imphal, July 15 2021:
Under the supervision of Kakching MLA M Rameshwar, Kakching District Health Society, BJP Kakching Mandal, Anjuman Nasrul Islam (Ulama-e-Association), Sora and Covid Task Force Sora jointly conducted a mass Covid vaccination programme at General English School, Sora on Thursday during which 150 people were administered Covid vaccine.
Similarly, a mass vaccination programme was conducted at Composite Learning School for people settling under Maibam Uchiwa Gram Panchayat.
The vaccination programme was attended by pradhan W Premapati Leima, DC Kakching, CMO Kakching and representatives of Ema Hospital Kakching.
Pradhan Premapati informed that around 2,000 people out of 6,000-7,000 residing under the jurisdiction of the GP have been inoculated against Covid-19.Under the aegis of District administration Imphal West, another mass Covid vaccination drive was conducted at Langpoklakpam Leikai under Naoriya Pakhanglakpa A/C .
Ex-MLA of the constituency Rk Anand while inspecting the vaccination drive distributed essential items to people who came out for inoculating the vaccine.
BISHNUPUR: Pioneer Club Bishnupur Ward No 4 in collaboration with CMO Bishnupur, COVID 19 Task Force Bishnupur and Doctors for You organised a mass vaccination programme at Bishnupur Bazar on Thursday.
The programme was organised with the support of Municipal Council Election intending candidate Kh Open of Bishnupur Ward No 4, K Sandeshwar and Okendro Catering Centre.
During the programme, around 400 people were vaccinated, said a release by Pioneer Club president M Bilkee Singh.
THOUBAL: Under the aegis of Thoubal MLA O Ibobi and Thoubal district administration, NYC Club in association with Covid Task Force, Thoubal Bazar organised a Covid-19 vaccination drive at Thoubal Nongangkhong Lai Haraopham on Thursday during which 138 people were inoculated.
MOREH: Pastors' Fellowship Moreh, Mobile Vaccination Team and ZEO Tengnoupal District jointly organised a mass vaccination drive at PHC Moreh on Thursday wherein 129 people were administered Covid-19 vaccine.
The joint team had also organised a vaccination drive on Wednesday at the conference hall of Hill Tribal Council, Moreh.
In all, 233 people in Moreh have been vaccinated since Wednesday as people are eager to get the vaccine.
Deputy-Commissioner Tengnoupal District Naorem Parveen Singh said that getting vaccinated is the only means of staying protecting from the virus.
Meanwhile, PHC Covid Vaccination Team under the aegis of Tengnoupal district administration conducted a vaccination drive at Moreh Ward No 7 Chavangphai community hall for the second time on Thursday.
PHC Moreh MO in-charge Dr Kh Santikumar Singh monitored the drive which was also attended by SDO Irengbam Dineshkumar Singh.
During the drive, 104 people were vaccinated and provided certificates on the spot.
On the other hand, in accordance with an order issued by Deputy Commissioner (Tengnoupal) Naorem Parveen Singh, Moreh Covid-19 Task Force Committee has announced that all vendors, shopkeepers, Moreh-Imphal service providers, etc., who have vaccinated must be in possession of vaccination certificates within 3 days, considering the rising number of Covid-19 fatalities in Tamu town, Moreh.
