Governor wishes for New Year

Imphal, December 30 2010:
With the coming of the New Year, the Governor of Manipur, Gurbachan Jagat greets the people of the state on the occasion of New Year's Day 2011 and conveyed his best wishes to each and every one of the state.
In a message, Gurbachan Jagat said that people of the state should remember that they should not allow themselves to get bogged down with the issues and controversies of the past.
Instead, everyone should move forward, rectifying the mistakes of the past, so as to usher in a better and prosperous future of Manipur.
Venturing into the New Year, people should reaffirm their resolve to support the forces of solidarity and harmony, doing away with the differences of caste, creed, language and religion.
He expressed his hope that the New Year will herald peace, bonhomie and harmony into the lives of the people of the state.
The Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council also wishes the people of the state peace and prosperity on the occasion of the New Year 2011 .
The Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) Centre Church, Imphal also greets the people of the state on the occasion of New Year.
The church will be celebrating the festival from January 1 to 2 starting from 7.30 am.
