Imphal, December 11 2010:
Commuters are facing difficulties while plying on the Wahengbam Leikai road as the state government is not repairing the road for a long time after the houses and shops alongside the road have been demolished.
Government had demolished houses and shop establishments in the affected area alongside the road on August this year for widening the road.
Till now the government is not taking up any repairing work of the road.
Raining in the last three days has caused commuters difficult to ply on the road.
Many potholes are filled with rainwater which makes it more difficult for commuters.
Instead of leveling the area, the government is digging up small drainage which adds to the difficulties.
There are full of potholes filled with water and mud throughout the stress of the road.
Localities of the area appealed the state government to complete the repairing work of the road as soon as possible.
