Imphal, December 11 2010:
The Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) today in a press release extolled the decision of the organizers of the Orange Festival to invite state Chief Minister O Ibobi as the chief guest of the concluding function.
The front wished a grand success of the festival.
The front said UNC under the instigation of NSCN (IM) is boycotting the CM in any function and instead inviting Nagaland CM as guest in Naga inhabited hill areas.
The release mentions the incident when NSCN (IM) cadres called office bearers of Tangkhul Students Union, Imphal (TKLI) and warned them not to accept any aid or donation from the Chief Minister as he did so by donating money in the general conference cum sports meet of TKLI at Khuman Lampak.
The release further cautioned the people of the affected areas by the Thoubal dam and that some people in the name of MNRF are collecting percentages from the compensations given to them for construction of the dam.
Unlike NSCN (IM), MNRF do not take percentages from the compensations which the villagers have got by selling their lands and fields.
The front has expelled Chuirei @ Achui @ Ayui @Ramyo Tangkhul for extorting money from people.
Unison Shimray has been appointed in his place.
Max Stone has been appointed as Information and Publicity Secretary in place of Standson.
Press release of the front from now on will have the signature of Max or Assistant Secretary, Information and Publicity, Paul Ramung Muivah, the release added.
