Two test positive, four discharged

Imphal, September 16 2022:
The state,on Friday reported two new cases of Covid-19 from two districts out of 220 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering a positivity rate of 0.9 per cent.
The two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West (1) and Churachandpur (1) districts.
Friday also reported four recoveries following which the number of active cases came down to 31 out of which 13 are in home isolation.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 61 in RIMS.
No death case was reported on Friday and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,780 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 223 D-type and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities and 1822 vaccine doses administered which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,39,393, out of which 13,17,414 had received the second dose and 2,57,168 had taken the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49809), Imphal East (32029), Thoubal (10291), Churachandpur (11282), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3365), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (477) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (712), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
