Governor, CM extend Id-ul-Zuha greetings

Manipur Governor Dr Syed Ahmed has extended his warm greetings and good wishes to the people of Manipur especially to Muslim brethren on the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Zuha.
The Governor in a greeting message said that Id-ul-Zuha, meaning 'festival of sacrifice' signifies the spirit of sacrificing rising above the narrow barriers of one's ego and self-interest for the good of all.
The festival promotes tolerance, harmony and goodwill amongst different communities, said the message.
Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi also conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the Manipur people especially to Muslim community on the auspicious day of Id-ul-Zuha.
"The festival celebrates the spirit of sacrifice and promotes the feeling of compassion and love to serve the poor and the needy" said the CM in a message and called on the people to celebrate the festival with joy of sharing, charity and serve the cause of humanity.
Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha, Manipur Pradesh has also greeted on the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Zuha to all communities of Manipur especially Muslim followers and prayed to bring peace, unity, harmony and brotherhood.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) has extended its warmest greetings to all the communities of Manipur especially Muslim brethrens on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha.
AMESCO in a press release have urged all to get along for bringing peace, unity and harmony in the state.
Major General VS Sreenivas, VSM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) and all Ranks of the Assam Rifles also extended their warmest greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha.
