Govt sends 3rd talk invitation

Imphal, September 24 2015:
The Churachandpur JAC which has been spearheading the public agitation in the district against the three Bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 for protection of indigenous people of Manipur has been invited for a dialogue for the third time.
The Chief Minister sent an invitation to the JAC for dialogue after a Cabinet meeting was held yesterday, informed an official source.
However, no response has been received so far.
The September 30 deadline set by the All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur on tribal MLAs to resign was later discussed by the Congress Legislature Party in the evening today.
No concrete decisions were however taken.
The CLP also discussed the steps to be taken up to defuse the situation in Churachandpur.
