Seram Neken's 'Voice of the Voiceless' released

Imphal, June 16 2013:
A new book entitled "Voice of the Voiceless" written by Seram Neken, columnist of Hueiyen Lanpao (English) and published by Cultural Research Centre, Manipur (CRCM)was released at the Literary Hall of Hueiyen Lanpao building, Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai today.
Speaking as Chief Guest of the book release function, P Dhanakumar, Chairman of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM), stated that Manipur is a place inhibited by people who have lots of patience no matter how grave the situation may be and the level of serious discussion among the people on any matter of public importance is very less.
If at all we need to bring about a change for the better in our society, we need to come together on all important issues and bring about changes wherever necessary.

Prof MC Arun of the Department of Anthropology, Manipur University, who attended the function as Guest of Honour and also presented a critical appreciation of the book, observed that Manipur is a land of contradictions and controversies and he was instantly attracted to the title of the book 'Voice of the Voiceless' on account of its controversial nature.
He maintained that like a restless soul, Seram Neken has taken up all the prevailing issues of the State in his book.
Delivering the Presidential speech, W Chandrakumar, Additional Director of Education (S) noted that the book of Seram Neken has various chapters on different issues which would be quite useful to us all.
He also encouraged the young writer to write on issues related to education in Manipur.
